About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a residential location in Hollywood, FL, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and communicating professionally with residents, visitors, and vendors. You will remain visible, support security-related procedures, and help deter incidents through attentive observation and customer-focused service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, property policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and/or property management.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Have customer service experience (preferred).
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Thursday: 07:30 AM - 07:00 PM
- Friday: 12:00 PM - 08:30 PM
- Sunday: 09:00 AM - 07:00 PM
