As a Security Officer Access Management in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access control systems, verify credentials and authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
  • Control entry to designated areas, support visitor check-in procedures, and communicate access concerns or irregularities to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
