Security Officer Access Management

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Florence, KY, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while helping to deter incidents through a visible, professional presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the building perimeter, loading docks, shipping and receiving areas, and parking locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and drivers, report security-related observations, and support the orderly flow of authorized vehicles, materials, and personnel.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Daytime, Monday through Friday
• 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
