What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, and other key parts of the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, unusual activity, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, trailer lots, and dock areas, with working environments and conditions varying by client site.
- Support visitor management and vehicle access processes by maintaining accurate logs, communicating with site contacts, and following post orders related to employees, vendors, and/or shipments.
Minimum Requirements
- Security experience of 1+ years is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
