Security Officer Access Control Weekends

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location in Myerstown, PA, where you will manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. You will remain visible, complete routine patrols, and help to deter incidents while delivering customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and following posted policies at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for the facility, screen authorized personnel and/or deliveries, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to site leadership according to security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, yard, gates, docks, and perimeter, noting conditions that could impact daily operations or require follow-up.
• Support logistics and distribution operations by helping to manage visitor check-in, maintaining accurate access records, and communicating clearly with employees, contractors, and/or transportation partners.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: Saturday and Sunday
• 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
