Security Officer Access Control Representative

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent access control practices.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter to observe and report security-related concerns and unusual activity.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, badge activity records, and incident documentation while following post instructions and client-facing service standards.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must comply with Allied Universal's drug screening policy.
• Licenses may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Skills

• Computer literacy is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
