As a Security Officer Access Control in Janesville, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help maintain a welcoming, security-related environment by monitoring access points, verifying badges and authorized entry, and providing exceptional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and help deter incidents through a visible presence.

• Monday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the retail location by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization, and maintaining visitor and delivery records as required.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the store, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Report observed incidents, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Access control/badge experience (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
