Security Officer Access Control Gate - Part Time

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees, contractors, and guests. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting orderly operations. This is a part-time position based in Keewatin, MN.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies.
• Verify access credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle gates, and delivery traffic to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly site operations.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.25 / hour

• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
