About the role
As a Security Officer Access Control / Driver in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and deliveries; monitoring access points; and reporting security-related concerns. This role requires a valid driver’s license and provides outstanding customer service while maintaining clear communication and deterring incidents through a visible presence.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorized entry as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
