Security officer- Access Control

Schedule

Tuesday to Friday, 8am‑4pm.

Pay

$17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with employees, customers, vendors and visitors
• Patrol premises on foot and/or in Securitas Vehicle regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Assist with enforcing company policies and Site‑specific security procedures
• Monitor facility entrances, exits, perimeter and designated Security areas
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Detect suspicious behavior, prevent vandalism, or other criminal behavior

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR
• Valid SORA license or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work effectively under variable weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy at all times
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and productive in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone and/or radio

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Strong customer service, communication and problem‑solving skills
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and flexible
• Willing to work weekends and holidays
• Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)
