Job Description As a Security Officer Access Control in Coopersville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail and mall location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting visitors, employees, and tenants with professionalism. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and support routine site operations. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.99 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon05:30 AM - 06:30 PMTue05:30 AM - 06:30 PMWed05:30 AM - 06:30 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals according to site procedures.Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with policy.Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.Operate access-control systems, surveillance equipment, and communication devices in accordance with established procedures, reporting equipment issues or security-related concerns to site leadership. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
