Security Officer Access Authorization Driver

About the role
As an Access Control Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate professionally, and deliver reliable service through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to the manufacturing location by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and communicating access concerns to site contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, gates, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at assigned entry points, apply site-specific screening procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
