About the role

At Inter-Con, we pride ourselves on offering customized security solutions tailored to our clients' needs. Our Unarmed Security Officers play a crucial role in supporting critical facilities and enhancing security measures in public venues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on activities on site, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and property.
• Enforce rules, regulations, and directives related to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Control access to the facility and assist visitors as necessary.
• Inspect inbound/outbound packages and monitor vehicle movements, entrances, and exits.
• Conduct foot or vehicle patrols, identify unsafe conditions or security violations, and ensure a secure environment.
• Write reports and logs to document incidents and activities accurately.
• Respond to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, hazardous materials, or weather-related events in accordance with procedures.
• Protect evidence and secure the scene of incidents during investigations.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Act ethically, professionally, and responsibly at all times.

Requirements

• Certified and trained security personnel.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform continuous foot patrols.
• Ability to work at elevated heights and operate vehicles or utility vehicles.
• Ability to respond rapidly to incidents and maintain situational awareness.
• Ability to perform additional ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job.
