Security Manager (Physical Security Operations)
About the role
The Security Manager (Physical Security Operations) is responsible for managing the day-to-day development, deployment, and integration of assigned physical security functional areas. This on-site position is based in Atlanta, GA and has regional responsibility for office locations in the southeast portion of the US.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security events on a daily basis for suspicious activities and identify potential security threats and violations.
- Establish vision, direction, and specific objectives for team efforts; encourage collaboration.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with security guard force, vendors, associates, Facility Managers/Leadership, and business unit leaders to ensure seamless communication, effective decision-making, implementation of physical security strategies, and the efficient completion of shared objectives.
- Promote HR policies and procedures in people management activities.
- Carry out communications that involve obtaining cooperation on issues that may be complex or controversial.
- Use negotiation and persuasion to come to agreement with others.
- Conduct external communications with a high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective long-term relationships typically with middle level contacts in customer and vendor organizations.
- Accountable for the effective delivery of Physical Security projects to achieve the strategic and operational objectives.
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience within security management, including a minimum of 5 years of experience managing or leading others; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
