Basic Qualifications
- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
- Must have solid Security Management experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer and or Facility Security Officer experience.
- Must have a comprehensive level of understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 NISPOM; DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Manuals; and/or DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals.
- Must be team-oriented with an ability to still work independently and multi-task in fast dynamic environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills to include verbal and written, as well as tact and diplomacy being key.
- While mission support is primary Monday – Friday (work week) mission requirements may require after hour response and possible weekend work.

The Work This position is located in Hanover, MD. As the Security Manager /Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Facility Security Officer at Lockheed Martin, you’ll safeguard the Sensitive Compartmented Information and warfighting capabilities our citizens and the world depend upon to protect U.S. and global interests. Here, you’ll work alongside other security experts, government civilians and military members to support their military operational objectives by providing them with a safe and secure operating environment. In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you’ll draw on all your experience and education as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep these exquisite capabilities and intelligence protected.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day site security operations including but not limited to:
- Performing as the lead Security Manager over a team of 7 Security professionals working multiple contracts.
- Acting in the capacity of a Contractor Special Security Officer and Facility Security Officer.
- Managing Security functions, organizing and filing all administrative program security paperwork to remain Inspection Ready and compliant with USG regulations.
- Conducting self-inspections; managing preparations and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel.
- - Administering the SCI Nomination Process by processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SCI Nomination packages.
- Conducting annual SETA requirements in conjunction with the programs; providing security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post Travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary.
- Classified document & media control to include maintenance logs of tracking documents in transition.

Desired Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of DoD 5105.21; ICD 705; 32 CFR Part 117; and other DoD policy and regulations.
- Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans.
- Experience as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian.
- IDC 705 Physical Security Experience
The successful completion of the Facility Security Officer Certification, or the Contractor Special Security Officer Course, or the CDSE SAP Mid-Level Management Course Pre-requisites is preferred or must be able to successfully complete FSO course within 6 months of appointment.
Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.
