Security Installer Tech (union)

What You Will Do

• Works onsite with commercial customers to set up and program Integrated Security fire and security systems.
• Dismantles and reconstructs equipment when necessary.
• Installs appropriate devices.
• Contacts customers prior to scheduled installation to verify the schedule.
• Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor.
• Fulfills proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
• Tests the operation of the system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
• Reads building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required.
• Collaborates with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.
• Manages installation teams on larger projects.
• Coaches and mentors less experienced installers.

Required

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Some technical school training is a plus.
• 3+ years electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.

Pay & Benefits

Pay Range: $22.18 - 44.13 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.

Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
