About the role
Help build and secure the infrastructure that powers next-generation AI-enabled sensing systems. MatrixSpace develops AI-enabled radar and sensing systems that help people understand what's happening in the world around them. By combining advanced radar, edge computing, and AI, we deliver situational awareness in environments where traditional sensing solutions struggle. We're looking for a hands-on Security & Infrastructure Engineer to help build and operate secure, scalable IT and security infrastructure, including a new CMMC-compliant environment supporting government and defense initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain a CMMC-compliant enclave, including endpoint management, identity and access controls, monitoring, and documentation.
- Support IT and security operations across cloud, endpoint, network, and SaaS environments.
- Administer Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, along with endpoint management and security platforms.
- Drive vulnerability management, remediation efforts, audit readiness, vendor security reviews, and compliance initiatives.
- Improve identity management, endpoint security, asset management, and operational visibility through automation and process improvement.
- Provide technical support, onboarding, and user lifecycle management while maintaining clear operational documentation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in IT, infrastructure, systems administration, security operations, or related technical roles.
- Experience with CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting corporate IT environments and modern security tooling.
- Working knowledge of networking, endpoint management, identity and access management, SaaS administration, and cloud-based systems.
- Experience administering Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance in the future.
Skills
- Tech-savvy and proactive with a genuine interest in cybersecurity, infrastructure, automation, or emerging technologies.
- Experience supporting compliance programs, security operations, or cloud infrastructure.
- Relevant security, cloud, networking, or systems administration certifications.
- Personal projects, homelab experience, or demonstrated passion for security and infrastructure.
