Security Guard Unarmed - Overnight

About the role

As a Security Guard Unarmed - Overnight in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Friday: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Saturday: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sunday: 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM
