About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access-control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that delivers through teamwork and acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
