Job Description As a Security Guard - Screener in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing professional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.35 / Hour increasing to $21.05 / Hour in annual increments Job Schedule DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 04:30 PMTue08:00 AM - 04:30 PMWed08:00 AM - 04:30 PMThur08:00 AM - 04:30 PMFri08:00 AM - 04:30 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification protocols.Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
