Job Description

As a Security Guard Patrol Operations in FAIRFAX, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with visitor and contractor entry in accordance with location requirements.
• Support site operations by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and/or first responders, while following post orders and reporting maintenance, hazard, and security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
