About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Security Guard Patrol Driver – Visitor Assistance in Sterling, VA. You will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as technology, media, and telecom at a dynamic technology data center location. This unarmed patrol position requires a valid driver’s license and offers a flexible schedule through the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at the technology data center.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and security‑related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Access control/badge experience (preferred).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Daytime – Saturday 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Sunday 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
