Security Guard - Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver

About the role

This position is a flexible, part-time enhanced security officer role designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. You will be hired with a fixed-shift commitment at a designated site while having the option to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

Schedule

• Part-time position
• Fixed weekly anchor shift: Saturday, 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM
• Six (6) month commitment required for assigned site and shift
• Option to pick up extra shifts through the Claim-A-Shift Program
• Work part-time hours one week and full-time (up to 40 hours) the next, with the option to scale back when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures
• Monitor access points and support adherence to property rules, reporting observed violations, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• At least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Guard card/license preferred
• Site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks
