Security Guard Part Time Premises Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring, people-first culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming and protected environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, property damage, equipment concerns, and/or unusual conditions according to established protocols.
• Document patrol findings and incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Pay

$18.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
