As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observer in Wilmington, DE, you will have a reliable base schedule at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, stockrooms, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and report observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and security‑related documentation as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Pay

$17.00 per hour.

Schedule

Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as a reliable base schedule, requiring a six‑month commitment. Through the Claim‑A‑Shift program you may pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing you to work part‑time hours one week and full‑time the next, with the option to scale back as needed. The base shift is DayTimeSat 08:00 AM – 05:15 PM.
