About the Role

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part-time Enhanced Security Officer position designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. The position is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with income stability and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Pay

$16.75 - $17.75 per hour

Schedule

Fixed daytime shift on Saturdays from 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM, with the option to pick up additional shifts through the Claim-A-Shift program.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be assigned to a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Flexibility to work part-time one week and full-time the next, scaling back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facility grounds, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Observe logistics and distribution operations for security-related concerns, report hazards or suspicious activity, and support a professional environment for employees and visitors.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
