As a Part‑Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as healthcare. The position offers flexibility through the Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site‑specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations per site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence in patient care and public areas.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and security‑related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Minimum age of 18 years for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

$23.44 per hour

Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
