What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and help to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
