Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access permissions when required, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or policy violations.
- Support healthcare operations by assisting with directions, de-escalating tense situations, and communicating professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and first responders.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
