SECURITY GUARD LEAD

About the role

This position involves covering for the Security Supervisor in their absence, monitoring plant activity, and performing various security-related tasks. Responsibilities include hourly rounds to check trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and gates, as well as monitoring all associates entering and exiting buildings, including car traffic. Additional duties include answering the switchboard after hours, billing loads, and operating company-owned vehicles if needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant activity and perform hourly rounds
• Check trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and gates
• Monitor all associates entering and exiting buildings, including car traffic
• Answer the switchboard after hours
• Bill loads
• Operate company-owned vehicles if needed
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability as they enter the facility
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials
• Filling in the Security Department as needed

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English (bilingual a plus)
• Strong computer skills preferred
• Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather, and up/downstairs
• Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
• Attention to detail
• Professional attitude always
• Ability to work any shift
• Security experience a plus
• Minimum High School diploma or GED
