About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer (unarmed Patrol Officer) in a healthcare location in Hixson, TN, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You may assist with sensitive hospital operations, including morgue access and response to individuals requiring restraint.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, corridors, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate areas while reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Must be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Must be able to work in/around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$16.48 / hour

Schedule

• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
