Security Guard - Full Time Visitor Screening

About the role

As a Full Time Visitor Screening Security Guard in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will manage access by verifying badges and screening individuals entering assigned areas, providing exceptional customer service, and using computer or tablet systems to support security-related operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor screening equipment and report prohibited items, access concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and complete required reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
