Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Security Guard in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and using technology to document observations and assist visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
