Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Communications Driver

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Louisville, KY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, controlling visitor entry, and documenting contractor, delivery, and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
