Security Guard Full Time Unarmed - Access Control

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Fountain Inn, SC, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, equipment-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and help deter unauthorized entry into restricted operational areas.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management in accordance with post orders.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
