As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Access Badging Patrol Driver in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will use sound judgment while responding to security-related concerns and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor and report security-related concerns involving visitor access, deliveries, building entrances, and restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
