About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology and telecommunications location in Chattanooga, TN, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use technology to document security-related observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, building perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• This is a primarily driving post.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

$17.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
