Security Guard Full Time Armed Patrol Driver

About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a full‑time Armed Patrol Driver in Morganton, NC to serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including government corrections locations. The position involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security‑related concerns, and providing professional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor access and verify credentials in accordance with site‑specific procedures, directing authorized individuals and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with emergency services and/or facility personnel as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security‑related matters.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Armed guard card or license (preferred).
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws.

Pay

$21.50 per hour.

Schedule

Daytime schedule with shifts:

• Thursday: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM
• Friday: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM
• Saturday: 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM
