Security Guard - First Shift

About the role

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a full‑time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a healthcare location in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Assist with access control activities by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security‑related matters.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 + years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, per state/local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
