Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Dyersburg, TN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

$17.40 / hour

Schedule

• Fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.
• Example shift: Wednesday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public-facing areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, assisting with access control, directional support, and other security-related duties in accordance with post instructions.
• Support public order at the location by observing visitor activity, communicating clearly with staff and/or the public, and following Allied Universal protocols for escalations and incident response.

Requirements

• Must have supervisory experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
