Security Guard

About the role

Siena House is a 27-room facility serving pregnant women and moms with children under two who are experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a full-time Security Guard for overnight and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and order: Monitoring entrances, managing client access and exits, supervising dining room during meals, and conducting regular rounds.
• Observe client behavior and encourage compliance with policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, de-escalate situations, provide assistance in emergencies, and document all incidents and suspicious activity.
• Maintain and update the hourly entrance in the security log and preserve confidentiality.
• Support and collaborate: Work with other shelter staff, assist visitors and clients, perform administrative duties such as monitoring video surveillance, participate in required training, and report to work on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior security experience, security guard license, and F-80 certification.
• The role is for weekends and overnight hours during the week.

Benefits

• Salary: Hourly: $21.20 per hour.
• Benefits after a three-month probation period.
