Security Guard

Golden Legacy Care Center is seeking a part-time Security Guard.

Schedule

• Saturday & Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

About the Role

Ensure the facility remains a safe and secure environment for medical staff, employees, patients, and visitors by patrolling the premises and managing visitor access. Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned site. Preserve order and enforce regulations when requested by medical staff or employees. Respond rapidly to security emergencies within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report activities that could result in injury, damage, or loss of property
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations
• Communicate effectively with diverse groups, including members, patients, visitors, and medical personnel
• Write accurate, clear, and legible reports
• Maintain positive working relationships with facility staff
• Operate and understand security equipment, operations, and computer software
• Identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Handle intervention incidents, including patient restraints and violent subjects, with emotional control and objectivity

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1 year of related experience (required)
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring surveillance systems and writing reports
• Experience, knowledge, or training in safety, fire protection, civil disturbance, emergency preparedness, CPR/AED, and security/safety standards as set by the Department of Health Services and The Joint Commission (preferred)
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Physical ability to handle intervention incidents

Qualifications

• Valid current California driver’s license (required)
• Must successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
