Key Responsibilities
- Control and monitor site access for employees, contractors, and deliveries.
- Perform regular perimeter and equipment patrols on foot or by vehicle (as applicable).
- Detect, deter, and report trespassing, theft, vandalism, or hazardous conditions.
- Maintain a daily activity and incident log with accurate recordkeeping.
- Enforce all site safety and security procedures consistently.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies and notify appropriate contacts.
- Ensure gates, fencing, and security systems are secure and functioning.
- Provide clear communication with site leadership, law enforcement, or emergency responders when needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, or construction site monitoring preferred.
- Valid security license (if required by state or local regulations).
- Able to remain alert and professional during long periods of low activity.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic report writing and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to patrol large outdoor areas, including uneven terrain.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
