SECURITY GUARD
About the role
Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is seeking a Security Guard. Located in North Stonington, CT, we offer residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members. Our clinic in Groton, CT, provides partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. Stonington Institute accepts private insurance, state-funded plans, and self-pay arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Attend shift report meetings at the beginning of each shift.
- Maintain buildings/grounds by enforcing rules and regulations, including curfew.
- Inspect all windows, doors, and locks to ensure they are secure.
- Check outside grounds for trespassers or unauthorized activity.
- Secure company vehicles at the site.
- Complete required documentation (rounds checklist, HPRs).
- Report incidents and contraband found during the shift.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous security/safety officer experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Pass a background check.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.

Pay
This is a full-time, 3rd shift position (10:45 pm - 7:15 am). Weekend rotation is required.

This is a 3rd shift position with hours from 10:45 pm to 7:15 am.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to enforce rules and regulations, and physical stamina are essential.
