Security Guard

About the role

To help aid in the creation of a new casino culture, Parkwest Casino is looking to hire a Security Guard. The Security Guard's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety of the casino, its employees, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment by ensuring the security of the casino, employees, and guests.
• Ensure understanding of basic card room games.
• Offer high-level customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures.
• Operate a surveillance system quickly and effectively.
• Write accurate and detailed reports.
• Count chips with minimal errors.
• Provide excellent guest service.
• Work any shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 21 years old.
• MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD
• Valid California Guard Card.
• Current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
• Employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background, and credit check.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Able to sit, walk, stand, and bend for 6 or more hours a day.
• Repetitive use of hands for simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling, and reaching for entire shift.
• Exposure to excessive noise, dust, gas, flames, chemicals, and extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness.

SkillsKeen observation skills.

Basic knowledge of card room games.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to operate surveillance systems.

Writing ability for detailed reports.

Counting chips accurately.

• USD $17.00/Hr.
• USD $20.00/Hr.
