Security Guard

About the Role

As a Resort Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and resort assets. This includes monitoring property areas, responding to incidents, enforcing policies, and providing assistance when needed. You’ll work in a diverse, multicultural environment where professionalism, communication, and teamwork are essential. Hospitality professionals who succeed in this role demonstrate strong judgment, integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior security, law enforcement, or hospitality safety experience preferred but not required
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Skills: Strong observational, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Professional Traits: Dependable, courteous, and detail-oriented
• Safety Awareness: Understanding of security procedures, incident reporting, and emergency response basics
• Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment with professionalism and respect
• Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island seasonally

Schedule

Full-time, seasonal position for the Summer 2026 season (April through the beginning of November).
