Security Guard

Position Summary

Under direct/indirect supervision, provide a safe and secure environment, both internally and externally, throughout properties of the Ector County Hospital District. Perform routine standards as set forth in the Department Policies and Procedures Manual.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Able to follow written and oral instructions
• Texas Peace Officer Commission or Security Training preferred
• Valid Texas Class C driver's license required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to use personal computer, typewriter, two-way radio, and telephone
• Must be able to qualify for Texas Motor Vehicle Insurance
• Must purchase and wear complete Security Officer Uniform

Working Conditions

• Must have visual, auditory and olfactory acuity
• Requires lots of standing, walking and climbing
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions with varying work hours and shifts
