About the Role

The Security and Transportation Technician ensures the safety and security of the hospital buildings and grounds, its patients, employees, and guests. This role also provides safe, efficient transportation services to patients of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of hospital buildings, grounds, patients, employees, and guests.
• Provide safe and efficient transportation services for patients.
• Implement safety and security procedures.
• Utilize crisis management and emergency response procedures.
• Perform basic automotive maintenance and repairs (e.g., changing flat tires, checking fluid levels, tire inflation).
• Operate wheelchair lifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma (Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred).
• One-year experience working with a psychiatric patient population and/or security preferred.
• Valid Driver License.
• Basic reading and writing ability.
• Knowledge of safety and security procedures.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
• Skills in crisis management or emergency response procedures.
• Trustworthiness and basic customer service skills.
• Familiarity with basic automotive maintenance and repair.
