Security Guard

About the Role

This position involves manning the guard house during scheduled shifts to ensure the safety and security of Battle Motors' property, employees, and guests. The role includes implementing emergency response activities, maintaining accurate logs, providing excellent customer service, and performing various administrative and safety-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report any unsafe or unusual activity to ensure the safety of the property, employees, and guests.
• Understand and implement emergency response activities as required.
• Maintain an accurate log of anyone entering or exiting the property without a parking pass.
• Sign in guests, notify reception or the employee host of their arrival, and provide direction.
• Report incidents and contact proper authorities when necessary.
• Explain safety precautions, take temperatures, collect health safety information, and complete other safety-related tasks as assigned.
• Accept and route mail and other deliveries to appropriate employees.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs at the beginning and/or end of shifts as assigned.
• Open or close the facility according to current operating hours, including setting the main property gate and locking/unlocking facility doors.
• Complete basic administrative support tasks as assigned.
• Operate surveillance and badge security systems as needed.
• Recognize and participate in the Quality Management System (QMS) processes and procedures in place at Battle Motors.
• Adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program, including following safety rules, procedures, and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Correct or report unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to the Supervisor immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
