Role Description

The Security Guard role at First Class Security is a full-time, on-site position based in Nashville, TN. This role involves monitoring premises, access points, and security systems to deter and respond to unauthorized activity, safety hazards, and security incidents. The Security Guard will perform regular patrols, complete incident and activity reports, and follow established post orders and emergency procedures. Daily responsibilities include interacting with employees, visitors, and clients, providing directions or assistance as needed, and maintaining a visible, professional presence. The Security Guard will also collaborate with supervisors and local authorities when required, and uphold all company policies, client guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service abilities to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
• Knowledge of physical security practices, including patrolling, access control, surveillance, and incident response.
• Understanding of personnel security and private security principles, including confidentiality, safety, and ethical conduct.
• Ability to remain alert and calm under pressure, with sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and meet physical fitness requirements of the post.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and any required licensing or training for security guards in Tennessee.
